I was under the impression the Canadian health system was equal for all, but one day The Queen was visiting one of Canada's top hospitals, and during her tour of the floors she passed a room where a male patient was masturbating.

"Oh my God!" said the Queen, "That's disgraceful, what is the meaning of this?"

The doctor leading the tour explained, "I'm sorry, your majesty, but this man has a very serious condition where the testicles rapidly fill with semen. If he doesn't do that five times a day, they would explode and he would most likely die instantly."

Private Herds

Since 1970, the restoration of the bison across the American landscape has occurred primarily at the hands of independent ranchers. In fact, more than 90 percent of the world's bison population, nearly 400,000, animals are found on private lands....
...Today's private land bison, and bison producers, are found in all 50 United States and all Canadian provinces. There are herds on Long Island, NY; Kodiak Island, AK; and the islands of Hawaii. The average herd size is less than 100 animals. The largest herds number over 10,000.

The group estimates the collective number of bison with Indian tribes exceeds 8,000 head.

A sizeable herd exists on Catalina Island, CA courtesy of some western filmed there in the 20's.

The buffalo continued to thrive and multiply, and by 1969 it was estimated that there were approximately 400 buffalo on Catalina Island. Then, in December of that year, because it was felt there had been too much in-breeding and new blood would improve the herd, 15 bull calves, approximately eight months old, were brought to Catalina from Gillette, Wyoming. At that time a program was begun of culling the herd each year and periodically introducing new bulls.

You can go on a Buffalo Hunt. A herd of 600 is ranched close to me here in Oregon.   Can't put them in a cattle trailer, they will destroy it.  So when they get loose, they can't easily get herded back to the ranch, the rancher hunts them down.
