I've got an early version of the X45..X52?

How do you guys with X-52s like it?

My X-45 has about 1.5 inches of movement before it effects the direction of flight.  I researched my serial number and its a very very early version.

I didnt get the extneded agreement, etc from Best Buy when I bought it.  To be honest, its lasted 3 years, which is eternity for some of these flight sticks!

your old X-45 sounds like my new X-52

it had so much play in it, I went and got another X-45

buttons/programming - X-52 wins, but for overall feel, I am sticking with the x45 until I can't find them on the store shelves anymore

X-36 USB was the best IMHO.
It was black and I had smoother control than with the X-45.
I could do without the shiny blue plate and glowing buttons of the X-45. I had to put tie wraps around the spring to get the X-45 to move a little smoother, but even with that modification, I do not have the finesse I had with the X-36.

All the stories I am hearing about the X-52 have stopped me from getting one.

Tie raps, huh?  Nice idea.  Gave up on my X-45 cause it was too stiff.  Might try that.
Oh, I also have a problem with the rudder being too sensitive and spikes as well (even after trying to adjust it in the mapping)  I recently went to microsofts updater site and after a scan it mentioned an update to the X-45.  Anyone have this prob and got it corrected with the update?  I'd check, but Im at work atm

I read every review before buying a stick....I almost went the CH way, but when I added up all I wanted I figured the Saitek sticks would keep me outta divorce court.

I played with both the X-45 and X-52.  And decided on the 52.  I haven't been disappointed yet.
