Just noticed last night in the TA...... When displaying Damage it always says that guns are damaged. Its (the text) in green and the guns work ok. Is this normal?

Also after an extended time the WEP stops working. What I mean is if I switch planes or have the WEP off for a good 15 min it stops working.
It also continues offline and the keyboard dosen't engage it either.

I have to exit the sim and restart the computer to get it to work again.

anyone else have this happen?

I reinstalled the sim and it seems to be ok nowas far as the WEP goes. Guns still show damage though

WEP lasts until the engine overheats on all planes.

once the engine cools down WEP is available again

Elyeh, ctrl D to check damage.

You will see a list in green text. Any items that have sustained damage will show in red text.

For guns, you will see them listed more than once. Each one reflects a different gun. (for example the F4U has 6 guns).

It is possible to lose only one set of guns and still have the other 2 working.

Understand that WEP only last so long...... What would happen is say I was in the Sim a hour. All of a sudden I have no WEP control. Even if I haden't used it. Jump over to offline mode to check, WEP still inop. Reboot computer...... Wep is operational again.

As far as the guns damage goes......
Open the sim..... (off or online dosent matter).

Get on runway, hit contol,D

All guns say Damaged... (text is green though)

haven't even fired up the engine but damage says my guns are fried. They work ok, just the damage readout is wrong.

Elyeh, I think you are misunderstanding the Damage readout. It always lists your guns. Everything on that list is the things that CAN BE damaged. Green means they are NOT damaged. If they turn RED then they are DAMAGED. Each thing on that list will turn red if it is damaged.

Green = Good

Red = Bad

1) your in wrong forum for this.....this is for TECH support of HArdware and Sofware.. YOUR computer..not GAMEPLAY & FeedBack

2) NOT all Planes have W.ar E.emergecncy P.ower...but if you plane does have W.E.P. IF you do have it It last differnet amount of tiems in diff. planes......WHen the temp of the eng gets too high ..you cant use it again till your eng cools down..If you want it quicker...then turn your eng off in flight..and glide..it will cool temps down and you can use WEP again

3)..YOUR guns and other thinsg WILL ALWAYS SHOW UP GREEN...Not until you get hit by somthing and they will turn RED!

THEY WILL ALWAYS TURN UP GREEN!! WHEN YOU START!!!!

My question was about the text.... It says guns damaged.

Why not gear damaged or elevators damaged? see what I'm getting at? No big deal I just found it odd that only the guns text specifically stated that they were damaged. Why not just say "guns" ?

Now after the latest patch the text has been changed to just "guns" (so apperently someone else caught it too)

Reading my Statement on WEP again.

What had happened was WITHOUT EVER USING THE WEP AT ALL,
it would never come on (after I DL the patch) even the keyboard would not turn it on. Go to offline and it still wouldn't work.
(Flying a Seafire so I know it has WEP)

Had to reinstall the game to make it operational again.

Anyway ......

Elyeh. the WEP problem may be a calibration issue with your stick.

What type of stick are you using, and have you calibrated it in windows as well as the game?

Sounds like occasionally you are unable to get full throttle out of it. This will affect WEP, as you must already be at full throttle in order for wep to engage.

Cailibrated both ways.... Its fixed now. Just was fluke I guess.
I nerver had it happen B4 just after the update.

Maybe during the online install something got corrupted.
Once I reinstalled the sim offline I havent had the problem again.

Just in case it happenes to someone else thats how I fixed it

I had similar problems several patches ago. After flying some Japanese planes, I would lose throttle calibration and would not be able to get to full power. The WEP only works if the throttle is at 100%.
