So I heard on the radio this morning on the way to work that Mcclintock failed to get his bill through that would revoke the law that subsidizes illegals in state universities.
He was saying Cali residents and out of state residents pay 23k a year to go to a state university.
Illegals pay 6k.
What the hell is wrong with this state?
Thanks Gray davis you dolt.
There was a bill in California that was recently voted down that would make it so illegal aliens would have to pay out of state tuition instead of paying resident tuition.
The bill that had passed was the one that allows illegal aliens to pay the same resident fee as California residents to attend state college. They pay the same resident tuition fee that all California residents would pay for State College. Remember, in California we have two state college systems, the UC and the State Universities. The UC system is the higher costing of the two, on average a State University school resident tuition is in the $15,000 dollar range while the UC resident tuition on average is $20,000.
Personally, I voted against the bill that passed since illegal aliens are not legal residents, they shouldn't get the perks. Now some may consider this being hypocritical but the major difference between my stance on this bill is that denying them the benefit of paying resident tuition does not deprive them of their fundemental basic rights. Unlike other bills and movements that want to deny them such basic rights as the access to basic healthcare.
