I got the DVD set of Band Of Brothers a couple of weekends ago from a brother of mine when I was visiting Phoenix. I just finished watching the last episode lastnight and I find out the History Channel is doing a BoB special all week this week.

I also found out there is a movement to get Major Winters a Medal Of Honor for his efforts on D-Day taking out those 88's. I hope he gets it....and soon.

Think the History channel has had a 3 or so sets of BoB weeks. Never get old, everytime they're one I watch them. One of my favs.

Was good. Amusing though that the few British charachters were terrible stereotypes ( Tank Comander and Paratroopers at Arnehm )

And at least three of the lead roles were played by British actors!!!

Damien Lewis (Maj. Winters) had a better American accent than most Americans I know. Yes, there were a lot of British actors but I never would have thought it they did such a good job. I thought Donnie Wahlberg (ex-New Kid On The Block) was the most surprising. He did a hell of a job as Carwood Lipton.

skyprancer... the fact that three of the roles were played by brits gives the rest of you no excuse for bad dental hygene and not being able to speak english understandably. if they can do it so can you.. and... do something about that pasty complexion too would ya?
