Not everyone got booted, I just now left on my own. At first after big dump think about 80 survived it. The LAG was horrible tho. When I left, I think only about 30 of us were still in there. Text was taking from 10 sec to 5 min to display. Was totally wacked.

Says all arenas are closed now :(

Maybe one of em got drunk and peed on the server?  Or fell asleep and spilled a beer on it?  Hehe

Fugazi, check that. This is VERY VERY VERY VERY rare. I have been playing on HTC server's for a few years now with no problems what so ever. They have the best game servers of any game out there. I mean come on 400 ppl in a server and the ping is only 50ms? How great is that. So check that disrespect. Now say "I am sorry HTC, I just joined a few weeks ago and I dont know anything. I am sorry I shook my fists at the AH gods, and I will never do that again.

Haha fugazi...

I've been playing this game since early beta and I think in all that time, the host has truly crashed for more than a few minutes maybe twice.  That's a pretty damn good record.  Say whatever you like about AH compared to other games, but HT's server code is pretty damn good by pretty much any standard.  HT and crew are consistently making better use of current technology and their hardware/cash limits than other online gaming services out there.

Do a search on the BBS for server crash or mass dumps, whatever, and you'll probably find maybe a dozen in the last several years.  That's just a couple per year, not too bad, and you'll also find that not many of them are caused by problems at HTC.  It's usually a network issue they have no control over, or a new version has problems and they fix it immediately.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Once again... as a long time online flight sim dweeb... I remember how much we used to pay for something much (and I mean MUCH) less reliable. I am baffled.... no... make that I scoff at anyone who thinks they aren't getting their 14 bucks worth in this Sim. WTF else do you people do that entertains you for pennies an hour? Well... even THAT doesn't count because you can't do it for 12 hours straight. At least I hope not.
;)
