That cartoon just scratches the surface of their beliefs.  The Mormon Church has tried very hard to change their public image and become more mainstream and pass themselves off as traditional Christians with an additional message.  And they have been very successful in creating this new mainstream image, but at their core they still have all these beliefs that don't have anything to do with Christianity.

As far as I know, that cartoon is accurate except that they have had "new revelations" about people with African ancestry and they can now become full members of the church.

Both religions are younger than this country, and it is suprising that stupid people (aka Tom Cruise) follow these types of things...

There are about only 4 main religions that have survived over 1,300 years. the four i know off the top of my head are Islam (started circa mid 600's AD), Christianity (Started circa 35 AD), Judaism (Started circa 2000 BC), and Hindu (Easily the oldest religion still practiced today)

Tithing brings in more cash than Royalties do.

I have a few LDS friends, and most belive in this stuff about as much as my Cathoic friends believe in Transubstantiation, which is not at all.

Not to say that Mormonism isn't a whacked out Relgion based on one guy wanting to surround himself with tail, but at least they have some good people out there.
