I've seen it go for over $3500 a bottle....

So, yeah, that is a good price, better to have a wholesaler friend purchase it.

Just one note for the occasional traveller - even the official liquor shops in russia often sell moonshine relabeled that can contain leathal levels of methanol.

In essence you can't be sure of the contents whenever you buy liquor from there.

Remember this if you plan to shop with locals.

About the cognac..

I'd rather save some pennies and get a bottle of this instead: http://www.internetwines.com/mb786464.html

After you finish a few bottles each you can buy a car with the difference. :)

I can't tell you how many times  (ok, 2-3)  there have been 3 shots left of Louie, and 2 guys will buy me (bartender) a shot so they can get the bottle

Want an expensive cognac?

Hardy Perfection

I've only seen 2 places that have it.  Our casino can't even get a bottle,

Shot prices

Louie XIII -----$125
Hardy Perfetion  -----$550

A SHOT

I would love to try it

Tapakeg

even more expensive
