Buff damage transfer.
« on: April 18, 2005, 11:36:19 AM »
Worse than ever.
Easily reproduceable -
Take up a formation, clip a tree with one wing to damage engines, hit enter 3 times to bail to #2, watch engine damage come across. By now usually a wing has gone, hit enter 3 time to bail to #3, watch wing fall off.
ONLY had this bug since AH1 for christs sake, but at least it looks nicer now when it happens.

Kev,

We have had our disagreements in the past, but I have never lost respect for you then or now. In fact your coming forward to support my "cries", as some would put it, only solidifies my respect! I appreciate your making it known.

The damage transfer continues unabated and in fact, seems worse now than ever before! I have heard others comment on the fact that it happens mostly in the B26. Most B17 or B24 drivers have not reported this "phenomenon" that I know of.

In addition to the damage transfer, I have also noted an additional problem since the new release. After ejecting from the damaged aircraft to the next (hopefully good) aircraft, the engines either are completely feathered or off. This requires either restarting or beat...............beat...... ............beat............. beat.........waiting for the engine to recover. This should not be happening, didnt before, why is it a problem now?  Especially since all three aircraft were at full power before the ejection to the next aircraft.

Have tried to duplicate this once again, and have not been able to. I you could duplicate it while filming, it would be of great help.

Found the damage transefer, Has to do with how quick you bail and your ping times.

Now as to the engine feather, have not been able to duplicate that yet. But it is very likely the same issue as the damage transfer.

WTG, knew you'd figure it out in the end :)
You not think it's far too easy to set a buffs wing on fire now?
