Its time for Rip's favorite euphimism:

When you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you should do is stop digging.

oh man...

<edit>

Looks like Hobodog edited his wildly pathetic caption. Forgot exactly what it said but it ended with "...this Negro."

Totally disgusting.

Here's a hint for you eaglec, your last post did nothing to make things better.  :mad:

I find it hard to respond to this very sad thread. Calling for contemplation during a time of such emotional upheaval is to risk being accused of not understanding, which is certainly not the case. Without reservation I offer my condolences and sadness to the US and all the nationalities caught up in this sickening act. Huge numbers of US citizens have died and already there is an estimate of several hundred British dead to which will be added the many other Nationalities.

If Eaglec meant what has been the popular interpretation of his post then enough has already and rightly been said in condemnation.

If he was trying to say the world must tread carefully and be sure before acting and also reflect on history and it's causes then there is some value in that. This is a terribly emotional time in which people will find it hard to pause and think.

If he was trying to condone what has taken place then he is absolutely and incredibly wrong. Nothing can justify the use of such measures in any cause. But I find it hard to believe that could be his point.

Personally I hope this thread will end here and that HT will remove it. If Eaglec had some misunderstood point to make then perhaps with the help of a translator he will re-post his thoughts in words we can all understand. And he may care to consider the timing.

Finally, as a proud member of the Firebirds Squad, I would say that this thread has nothing to do with the squad. I don't know of any squad that screens it's members for personal views or politics. That is one of the blessings of the internet.

eaglec,

Look at that picture carefully. You see the feet sticking out of that pile? That is pretty much where your title and posts on this thread have placed you. It's self inflicted here. Another hint is the distancing of your squaddies from your "opinions" here.

You are, however, still at the top of a few "lists".
