It's time for one country, one people
« on: September 11, 2001, 04:15:00 PM »
We Americans all have our differences, no more apparent than on this board.  However, it's time to put those differences away, and stand behind the President and the country.  Our only choice is to find those responsible, and to bring them to justice by every means in our power.  My only hope is that innocent lose of life can be kept at a minimum from this point forward.

Also,..send a letter/email to your congressman/senate leader.  Make sure they understand what we the American people expect.  Don't assume our political machine will do what we beleive should be done.  Make it happen.

You will excuse me ,but the one country, one leader is not true  :).

Remember you have the backup of many other people and other nations aswell. So stop being egocentrical ok?   ;). Terrorism is not an US issue, but an international issue.

So it is "a lot of countries, a lot of leaders".  :)

This is such a tragedy. It is reinforced here by the fact that of our 72 cable channel 39 are broadcasting livecoverage and 9 have fully suspened operations for the next day.

Ram, what he meant was we as Americans need to stop our political infighting and unite under a common threat. We certainly welcome the support of all nations at this time.

that's the one thing countries underestimate about us.

we might be rolling in the dust kicking and punching each other over the issues but let somebody try to defeat us and we will quietly make an appointment to finish our fight later and immediately deal with any agression with an incredible unity.

don't let our internal squabbles fool you, this is a united country and in times like this you'll see hippies, blacks, whites and kkk members standing under the same banner.

GRUNHERTZ,

Its not the same thing.

I'll gladly vote George Bush out of office in 3.5 years, but right now I'm standing solidly behind him.

It has nothing to do with blindly following somebody.  It is about working together to do what must be done.

Sisu! (What must be done will be done regardless of the cost)

We will do it.

We are unified as a nation becuase that is what Americans do when confronted like this.  Its why other nations don't go around pissing us off.
