I had the most outstanding film of SHawk orbiting one of our (knight) bases around 15,000 feet above. He'd swoop down in his D9 and go right on up. I wound up getting about 10 miles south of the field and on his altitude when I headed back in. As soon as I was in icon range, he went for a power dive heading back south toward one of our vehicle bases when I called SHawk in sight (who else could it be?) to a squaddie. I never got closer than 2.0 when he finally ran to 2 109's and a 110 attacking our base. After engaging them in a 3 on 2 and knocking them down, squaddie and I renewed the pursuit while returning to base.
At some point we lost track of the king rook runner and ran into some other 190-D9 who made the exact same "maneuver" including tucking his tail for better aerodynamic efficency. I beat him to the deck and was saddled in behind him at a mere 200 yards. After doing the Focke Wulf shuffle for a bit (2 or 2-1/2 minutes) I finally had enough individual .50 caliber hits to knock off his wing and into the ground goes some poor "other" guy.
When I checked the film...SHawk was the first one and I don't recall the name of the pilot. Lost the film when I reformatted/upgraded to Windows XP...it would have been a goodie.
