Once in 1981, and in 99 for USAF, and pistol purchase permit
respectively. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Actually what's the difference between fingerprinting and DNA when it comes to being ID'd? I willingly gave up my fingerprints to ensure the Gov't. I'm a citizen of good standing and worthy of the licensing I have, so if they asked for DNA I'd provide that too.

to qualify for a concealed carry permit I had to submit my fingerprints to the FBI. I am in the database lol

The difference is that you can't build a whole new you out of fingerprints.

You can take a DNA sample and potentially know about any medical conditions they have or might have. Heart condition? If it's a result of a genetic defect, future tech might be able to find htis out. Don't let a failure of imagination on your part regarding what you can use the data for make you too complacent about easilly giving it up.

10-20 years ago, most people thought using social security numbers as a casual identifier was any sort of problem. Whoops!
