Turkey Hunting...sort of.
« on: May 02, 2005, 08:46:07 AM »
Well I spent last weekend in the woods in search of these birds.  Early to rise to be in the woods 30 minutes before sunrise.  Long story short I didn't see one single goodfornothin, rassinfrassin, doggone, friggin turkey.  The weather last weekend was quite cold, rainy, windy and it even snowed.  The first time I ever remember turkey hunting with snow falling let alone sticking so nicely I had to dust off my decoy every 15 minutes.

I did manage to walk up on a few deer and snapped some pictures.  The flash went off...oops!

My Father and Brother both bagged a tom on opening day yesterday, they called to brag about it in the evening. My brothers was 25 pounds with about a 10 inch beard and my dads was 19 pounds with a 7 inch beard.
