To usB or not to usB, that is the question.

OK, time for some input from you CH wizards.
Presently have analog CH Force FX stick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Rudders.
New computer has XP for an OS, cpu a XP2500+ and an Asus A7N8X regular motherboard.
My CH stuff is 8 or so years old and needs work. And all the potentiometers should be replaced along with some buttons. That's 4 pots min and the switches for around $50 and the installation. I think I've had enough of trying to fix this stuff already with my half dozen or so previous fixes.
Is it worth fixing this and getting it running on the new system or fork over the +/-$300 for new USB Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Rudders?
This Saitek Cyborg EVO is not going to be on my desktop for long.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I said the same thing some time ago and I decided to take  chance on the USB.

Trust me, you'll be very happy with buying the USB set up, at the very least they are alot easier to program with Win XP, the toe brakes finally work properly, and the calibration seems alot more stable.

I dont think you'd be dissapointed going to USB fuze.  As long as you have a good solid power supply or you are using a good quality powered external hub, you will get every bit as reliable service out of the new ones as you did your old set.  Mine are about that age too, and while I had to replace 1 pot so far in the stick (Flightstick Pro), the hat is a bit iffy, and number 2 button sticks sometimes, I wouldnt trade my setup for anything (except new CH stuff :) ).  Of course, they dont have a FF stick in USB, but if you moved to WinXP already, you have already given up your FF.  You also gain the toe brake function on your USB Pro Pedals.

Oh, and when you do upgrade, consider selling the old stuff for parts?  :)
