Boston / A-20G are easy kills

The boston is an easy kill.  it's also a BoB era aircraft.  So lump it in with the ju88, 110c, spit1, hurri1, p40b, etc.  Actually looking at it from that direction, when you compare it to it's contemporaries, it's speed is pretty insane.

The a-20 can give any plane in the arena a good run for it's money.  Low wing loading combined with a lot of mass, and high density allowing for some shocking dives and zoom climbs.  Six .50s packed into the nose for firepower, and 4k in bombs for jabo.  Oh and it takes damage like a bomber, not a fighter.

The a-20 can outrun most of the turners, and out-turn most of the fast planes, despite it's size.  Plus a 4k bombload makes it one of the best jabos in the game.

The A-20G and Boston would be much better if properly armed.

Some people might think "Oh, it's easy to kill anyways" because they use cannon all the time. Or maybe the bug is ONLY with MG ammo. But you do the same thing to a Ju88 or a Ju87, or hell, ANY BOB-era plane (I had an HTH room set up with only BOB era planes) and you'll see a couple pings won't kill any of them. Not even to the cockpit. The 7mms/303s are great for pilot wounds, but none of them kill instantly. But put 2 pings on the outboard port wing of a boston and WHAM pilot kill. Shoot its tail fins and WHAM pilot kill. Shoot it sidways through the rear fuselage and WHAM pilot kill.

And this isn't the only plane that has some fishy MG pilot killing abilities. I was in a 38G last night trying (trying) to out zoom a c202. I was in F3 mode looking ahead and I was watching as I got peppered ALONG THE PORT FLAP AND AILERON, and the damage I got was a ***pilot wound***.

He was behind me, directly below me.. His shots would have had to come from 45 degrees off my level port wing and then pass THROUGH the ailerons, the flaps, the engine, the boom, the rest of the wing root, out the wing, through the glass, and then into my pilot. Instead there was no way he could ever have gotten my pilot, nailed me on the WING and I got a pilot wound.

There's something fishy with MG damage. Cannons don't do this, I've noticed. Maybe it's because of the way they are designed to NOT penetrate (they just explode). But MGs are kinda messed up. At least with some planes.

There was a time not tooooooo long ago that there were rampant complaints against the A20 Havoc for similar instant-death situations (like the events with the Boston now)
