i dont like to use templates because its not my work. I get ideas from other guys though.

I like skinning planes that dont have many skins.

Lol, completed maybe there's a max of 15 skins for plane. As soon as a plane comes out evereyone over stocks it with all these skins.  No offence to alot of you but alot of them look the same.  I like seeing unique ideas not a hundred green mustangs or planes from same squadron, if they allowed more then 15 skins id love that. I make movies i need stuff like that. But when theres a limit of skins and half of them are the same.  There is no point.  I love when guys do special stuff like cockpits and really good shading and details and pilots, it really adds to the game.

Find the layer named "panel lines"... It is probably near the top. Set it to lower than you think you need. Set it to 30% opacity.  Or lower. That is what everybody is suggesting.

Clearly  better , Haken cross is perhaps a bit low on the fuselage and number "11" a bit small.

Also You can try to put a little gaussian blur on the rivet layer.
(backup you work 1st ;))

Can you post the profile you are using ?
