Good movie - battle scenes are up to Ridley Scott's normal standard.

Waaaay better than Troy and King Arthur. Kingdom of Heaven should equal Gladiator  (in terms of special effects and acting)

The battle scenes were great, but I really couldn't empathise with any of the characters. Didn't hit me in the gut the same way Gladiator (in spite of its silly liberties taken with history), Blade Runner or Thelma and Louise did.

The movie is unfocused and the first 30-45 minutes were pretty boring.  It needed an action opening like Gladiator to get the blood going before the characters were established.

Pretty much anything is better than troy or alexander. To think that we got major movies of both those events in the same year and they both stunk so bad, what a dissapointent.

damned shame.  ridley scott is easily the very best director of his generation and I cannot recall any ridley scott film that I didn't consider excellent.  I guess it will be out on dvd soon though.
