I was surprised to see the p40e doing well against the 109f.  Every encounter I've had with it, even when it had an alt advantage, if it blew its first two passes it was pretty much toast..

Doesnt surprize me, the P-40's weaknesses can also be its greatest weapon, but they are not easy to use. You cant be accused of running or flying "Easy Mode" planes if your in a P-40.

I think its too early to get a real measurement just yet. One hour of Shane in a 109G-2 can swing those numbers completely around the other way.
