Just 4 to start.  Two 8th AF, 1 latewar 9th AF and a 12th AF silver bird.

Might be worth looking at doing just to do something different.

Thank ya!  I'll probably try my hand at the top one there.

Question:  Is the grayish tint on the OD part of the scheme or is it just the artist's rendition of dirt and grime?

artist attempt at exhaust/weathering etc.

OD/Gray scheme is the basic scheme

remember,
if you scan pics from a book that is copywrited material so don't leave it posted on websites for too long.


To me it looks like the artist was trying to make the picture look drab and adding the light grey spots on the fuse.

I just noticed the bottom one was hun hunter,  I have real pics of a P-47 D bubble pit from when I went to a museum in TN.
