Fans of closed door government should be heartened by this ruling:

Appeals court tosses Cheney lawsuit

You didn't really want to know anyway, did you?   I think its just safe to assume that government always acts in your best interest.    Now go back to watching Fear Factor and forget you ever heard about this.

The Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit unanimously found that two private groups that sued Cheney failed to establish that the federal government had a legal duty to produce documents detailing the White House’s contacts with business executives and lobbyists.

Says it all right there. Man they are all corrupt. Funny how Bush complains about the Congress not giving him an energy bill so he can help the common man and then his VP goes and makes a bunch of pro-industry (energy) recommendations that dont help the common man. At least Kerry was just 1 man with 2 faces. The Bush/Cheney conglomorate might be unstoppable.

I'm a fan of open government, so I'd be against this type of secrecy in policy making no matter which party practiced it.

He's just damn lucky this wasn't a $200,000 real estate deal... then, we'd see some justice gawdamnit. ;)
