Hey Guys,

I had an inquiry about starting a discussion and updates bulletin board for our church website.

How much does UBB cost and how difficult is it to implement? What is involved?

Thanks for the help.

Oh and how much do you have to pay Skuzzy to lock threads?

Thanks much Skuzzy. Much Cheaper than I  expected.

How much server space does it take up? I wasn't able to find that in FAQ.

It depends on the activity.  After 6+ years, ours still fits in less than 5GB of space.

Why would they?  This is the most streamlined, quickest loading and one of the most active forums I visit.  The others are generally clogged up and slow.  Checksix and HTC are the two smoothest for me.  Srtforums and ls1tech are slow but do get more traffic.  They also have a bunch of useless junk in their BB software as well.

Thanks Sandman,

Wasn't the old "Flying Zoo" bulletin board Phpbb? Know of any current examples I could tinker around with to get a feel for the differences between the two again?

The checksix forums uses webwiz forum software.

It can be had for free, but if you donate i believe you get rid of the stupid webwiz advertisements on it.

I think I ran a different program for Flying Zoo... Yabbs, IIRC. I have PHPBBS up for Eve stuff... you're welcome to create an account and play with it. http://dotdoubledot.com/bbs
