Upsid-down spawn
« on: May 01, 2005, 10:15:53 PM »
Lost a Tiger this morning ( 5/1 ) at the NE spawn from 142.

It spawned me upside-down ( or maybe in a tree ).  Anyway, The tank rolled over and had to bail.

Skuzzy, with the new large random spawn points and the new trees most spawn points now have the added bonus of about a 10 percent chance of spawning up a tree.  When you spawn on top of a tree there is a very good chance that when you fall out of it you will not land upright.  This is bound to lead to quite a few dozen more justifiable complaints. I would imagine the easiest way to deal with it is to limit vehicle spawn points to more open areas.

I have had this happen so many times (spawn in tree - flip upside down) I will no longer waste my points spawning tigers. But it happens with any type of gv.                                                                                                                                                                                                         I also got trapped in a bombed out hangar, until I realized you just have to drive straight ahead because the door opening, even though you can't see it, is still there. I hope that little tid-bit helps someone else.

I spawned an m3 with field supplies up in a tree last night. Puts a unique perspective on the world.:D

I had to keep forward and reverseing for a couple minutes before it finally got to the ground. It was like the tracks would catch on tree limbs and lurch one way and then the other.

i dont got enough perkies as it is and i like upen my lancs to kill 1 dang t 34 or wirble its fun droping 42 bombs

I have had this happen on the last 3 terrains over the last week or so.  I usually get spawned in a tree. have actually be able to salve the run tho.. just put the gv in reverse and just rock it. Occasionally it will slip down and land on its tracks.

what they said ^    Its happened to me too.  Its a great vantage point until you start dropping through the branches and land turret down.  Knowing that you should have not upped a perk tiger, then waiting for the return to tower to see the -50 perks.
:(   I have had this happen on a few of the maps.   I posted it when it occured,  so what ever the map was that day when i posted, i posted this problem several weeks ago.

It just happened again tonight. Ostie - tree - spinning - landing upside down, twice in a row. At least it's getting less frequent & this newest version ditches you much less than the last, successful landings help the burn.

filmed panzer in tree

I filmed a panzer that spawned in a tree, then began firing at my countrymen last night in tank town,it spawned in from the 134 spawn. Where would I send that to aid HTC in fixing the problem? Directly to Skuzzy? Here?
