One Simple, Easy Request

would it be possible to have a little timer put in, so that if you dont touck stick or keyboard for 5 mins, it automatically checks the afk box for you??? and then have it so that when you move stick, mouse, whatever, it unchecks it?

so many times ive been killed coz people didnt know i was afk!!!

seriously tho, what dya think? im not saying that it has to be like that, just a base idea. maybe have it as a flight preferences option, auto afk, and have a little drop down box in options, to select how long it takes for it to engage?

and having alt and heading in e6b is a no brainer really, no reason why it shouldnt be added. reason i say this, is because it is very hard to read the instruments in the cocpit:rolleyes:

curious, what good would it do for me to know you are afk? how would that stop you from getting shot down?

not to be rude, but it is alot harder to clear someone's 6 when they are AFK, and unless it is a squaddie i'd probably not waste the time. also i almost never look at the radio bar to see who's in range and their AFK status. with a HOTAS system i dont bother typing or bringing up the radio bar unless needed, i just use VOX.




the second idea is decent, i'd like to see alt and heading on E6b for the same reason, i can't read the guages sometimes, especially the new 190 altimeter. i can't read the 10x part even zoomed in.

i can't tell the difference between 11 and 21k duh lol (especially after comming back from AFK for a poop or something)

also, i can't read all the numbers onf the guage, and second guess my alt all the time lol. when JB42 says level off at XXX i get as close to him as i can and level when he does without looking at the guage, cause i can't read it lol

yeah exactly. would it be possible to go a little further on this, and have lots of things added to e6b??

if ure running the game on the default settings, its just impossible to see the instruments because of texture size. could we get alt, heading, trim settings, oil temp, throttle settings, and anything else added to the e6b hitech? PLEASE, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE WITH A CHERRY ON THE TOP?

its nothing like serious code changes, shouldn't take to long, is there any chance of it ht?

oh, and jb, i was just saying, that i get lots of people pissed of at me coz i dont reply, coz they dont know i was afk. if we had it as an on/off option, it wouldnt make a difference to you, coz you can have it off if u want, its just a little problem solver. i do appreciate this is a little silly, and the e6b is more of a priority in my mind, and easier to do, it was just a dumb idea, sorry, i get like that:lol

What do you think about this?  No new key strokes or views, just redesign of the E6B section of the clipboard.

I'd like to see it.  I mean, I can tell pretty closely alt and bearing, but would be nice to be able to get exact info...especially for testing, etc.
