I was around ten when I seen that in 77. It blew me away. Before that special effects were strings and fireworks. It's impossible to overstate what a large leap in camera technology that movie represented.
Another good thing back then, you could stay in the theatre all day if you wanted, (for daytime anyway) I watched it twice in a row.
On a side note, what's with Mark Hamil,? The guy looks like something Chewbaka leaves on the carpet after doing that dog prettythang scratching thing across the carpet. Wonder if he's on space crack?
