Sorry Guppy turnabout is fair play. Seems to me while I was trying to clear a 205 off a squaddie's 6 a P38G comes zoomin out of nowhere and gets a shot off and kills me. The Nik you was fighting was also a squaddie. So not only was I trying to save him but after I saw it was you I figure it was an issue of pay backs being hell.

Sorry didnt mean to make you upset.

And to comment on something mentioned earlier, I didnt give a .  I was doing what I needed to do to clear a squaddie and like he said I came zoomin in. I'm not going to salute him because there was no fight and no swapping of angles. The engagement was over before it started.

Wasn't remotely upset :)  Seems to me I said nice shot if I remember right and asked if you were the Spit.

It was a good fight and you blasted me  as you should have.

Couldn't have been me that killed you earlier as I can't seem to hit the broadside of a barn these days much less an airplane :)

Edited to add the moment you blew me away.  All the duct tape in the world wouldn't put my 38 together again :)

I dont monitor 200 much at all. Its nothing but a bunch of trash talk and I dont care much for it. Sorry didnt see anything you typed.

It was  you that killed me earlier because the kill msg said I was shot down by CorkyJR.  In fact I want to say I saw you land those kills and you had come back when the 38/51 raid was commin in  high. Or round about that time.

I'll take your word for it :)  I was having one of those nights where nothing was working so I must have gotten lucky on a shot.

Good fun either way :)

to Guppy and Wolf for gameplay fairness in face of the neccessities of the fight!

Oh, and on the subject of 'helping' to clear others: Ive been called picker and moron for clearing boogies off countrymen, ive been raged at for not helping others when staying out of the 2 vs 1. Since I never do the right thing anyway, now i just do what suits me best/i think is appropriate.... (and no, asking on range usually doesnt result in any form of answer)

Ever seen a knit Spit 5 'horde' harrassing a field???

(Might have been the 71 on one of our squad missions/fighter sweeps)

PS: Coooooool p38 pic (thats the moment i find them most beautiful - when they start falling apart in front of my gunsight  :p  :D )

See now if you were smart you would have done a  sudden high G near total blackout turn very close to the side of that hill causeing either the spit or the niki to splatterthemself into it by going into a high G total blackout turn trying to get the lead shot thus turning it into a 1V1 just before the KI zoomed in at lightspeed and blew you away.:)

I love making people lawndart. Amazing how many you can get to do it too

@Everyone but Guppy and Wolf

Team play is about helping team mates out.

Winging is about helping clear your wingmans six when he needs it cleared.

When ever you play as a team there is never a 1v1 situation because that is single play. Your enemy *might* think its a 1v1 but its HIS mistake taking so as it wasnt ever a 1v1. It was a 1v2 to start with unfortunatly the enemies SA failed him as he didnt recognize the situation.

This is something you see all the time in the MA. People thinking they are fighting 1v1 then screaming bloody murder when the wingman comes in and kills him.

When ever I fight and I see two or more planes of the same type I assume a squad wing. When ever I see two or more enemy planes co-alt with each other and within 2.5k I assume a squad wing.

Assuming single pilot fight is the reason of soo many peoples death in AH.

But even a bigger reason is lack of ACM usage.

There are so many pilots just chasing others around instead of using ACMs.  If you clue your self to someones six you can bet your six that he is gonna call for help and your gonna get engaged. Instead use your freekin ACMs and stay of his six, set up the deflection shots. This way your out of his six view 90% of the time.

Tex.

lol

so everyone in your country is your wingman?

I understand clearing ur buds or squadmates six .. I also understand the tard who zooms in for the easy kill

which do you think happens most often in the MA enviroment ?

that is what I felt was meant by the title of this thread ... tardness

Not really, neither Guppy nor Wolf (the two pilots involved) mentioned anything about tardness.... both of them are discussing a fight in a good manner... though a ton of other pilots including your self made this thread into a classic forum whining spree with nothing but finger pointing....

When it comes to your question about if everyone in my country is my wingman.

No not everyone is my wingman but I definatly help any rook that needs help.

I dont dive into low situations where there is a 5v1 down there but I do ask if they got the situation handled. If they do say they need help I do help out.

Reason I dont just dive into the situation isnt out of curtecy but out of the simple reason that I dont want to burn my E.

Me getting stuck on the deck without E, without having helped save anyone, hurts my team and my wing more then it helps. Me staying high will help protect the guys on the deck if high cons emerge, so I do more good for the team and my self staying up there.

But yes I will go in and "bust" 1v1, 2v1 and even 5v1 situation if the pilots invovled need help.

Pretty sad if the pilots involved need help in the second two of those situations.

Sometimes I really love the retarded cherry picker 5v1 mentality. I've won many, many 1v5s because all 5 of em are flying like pansy's and taking only 1 pass every 30-60 seconds. Reverse, shoot, repeat. Usually I just get in a slow flat turn on the deck and use low yo-yos to foil the dweeb 'dive straight from 2k out' attacker's plan, then pop up under someone else comming out of my yo-yo for a quick kill.

It was nice of that spit to actually turn with you. As necessary as having a turner in there is for the pickers to have a chance they almost never get the kill.

Unless a guy clearly asks" Please stay out of this fight"...any target is up for grabs. That goes for when 2 guys are on the six of someone, and a third guy dives in and pops the enemy too. It sucks that you dont kill him...and someone else did...but Ive often had that happen. Plinking a guy thats evading, and "having my chance", only to see another guy come in and kill him. I say a quiet "Dammit"..and fly on.
