In no way will the T-34 battle be klose too the M-8 battle.

That will be a hard lesson learned for most panzer drivers.

Thanks daddog,
As you know, FATE is a mainstay in FSO and most of the time they are a blast. I have flown almost every frame in the last few months and always, (well, now its almost always lol) have a fun, competitive battle. Live and learn is right and it sounds (from one of your previous posts on the topic) like another scenario involving M8s and Panzers would be different because of this one.

Klink,
I like the T-34 as a more agile and better-armored tank than the Panzer. The reload time simply forces a driver to plan and pick his spots better. Worlds closer to the Panzer than the M8! Hopefully the GV event will have a good turnout, I know that tank action seems to be picking up in the MA. I look forward to it, kiss the wife and kids and make any and all necessary arrangements to your estate.

Rgr FATE has been around a while. :) I will not even have M8's vs Panzers again unless the Panzers have to also destroy a town/base. That would force them to be on the move.   I was a bit naïve about that match up.

Exactly Daddog, if targets at base v56 had been worth some significant points and the M8s were maybe worth less it would have switched the emphasis of the strategy and I'm sure the battle would have been more fun.

DamnName CO of FATE here.

Yes the last frame was not much fun for my guys.  and we did try and wait out the panzers but things seemed to be moving to slow so some of us made a move.

I made a run around the Panzers and all I could see was a wagon train. lost my guys that I put on the move.

what is done is done. Just waiting for the next run.

I just want to say thanks to the guys that do all the hard work to put this all together.    Its not always gravy.  Thanks

For what it is worth, you time would have been better spent in the air helping out. V56 was not worth any points.

Not a lot I can say about this. The orders we received had you guys coming in and attacking ~~~FATE~~~. All we saw was you waiting for us to show up. That's not what we expected. You may or may not have been moving in towards the base, but at this point it doesn't really matter. It wasn't much fun, but we did learn some things that we will incorporate into our gv outings.
I have to laugh though because you went in and took out the base anyway!
I like the idea of making the base a target . Even if we are in an M8 vs Panzer scenario again, I would still be in for the challenge. It adds a whole new dimension to the "Battle Plan!"
I really dig tanks and it sucks that I missed the all gv event. I can't wait to try it out next time.

all! And BBQ...Check 6!;)
Destiny brought you here, now FATE will deal with your six!

Damn, we're in a tight spot!
