Memorial Day
« on: May 19, 2005, 12:33:17 PM »
What kinds of things are ya'll doin during the memorial day weekend? Goin places, seeing things, or are you having a big cookout with 3 kinds of meat done 4 different ways?

See, the thing is, I'm stuck in the middle of the country 700 miles from home with a long weekend and nothing to do. I decided I might try to get myself invited to one of these stupendous middle American BBQ tho-downs and see how they compare to down south's version...:D

This year I will not be hosting my usual cook out / beer bash with brisket, sausage and chicken. Since I have gone back to work, I volunteered to work that weekend so the married supervisors can spend it with their families.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I'm serving up a 4 pound tart apple bear roast, rattlesnake chili, and baked potatos to my roommates & our girlfriends. Other friends that show up are getting llama meat burgers. They just don't know it, and I'm not telling them until afterwards. :D
