How many old AWers noticed that these macros was mostly used against NwBie?

I always loved the kill macros in AW and used them in both FR (where I started as my husband & son - Zeb and Cloud - were there) and in RR (which I 'discovered' after becoming a Game Assistant  :lol)

I think the reason they were not as noticeable in FR was because most of us were tuned to squad vox channels rather than channel 1, and therefore our kill macros only appeared on channel 2.  However, as more people left to come here, I often found I was the only squad-member online so I would keep channel 1 tuned instead.  I started sending my kill macros over channel 1, much to the annoyance of the macro-haters!  :D  The more they complained, the more I enjoyed it - especially when one person created his own macro complaining about macros!  :rofl

The best macros by far though were in the RR arenas where they were an acceptable part of the gameplay.  I hated the attitude of many of the FR players towards RR players, and started playing in RR more often than FR during the last year or so.  OK some of the things were gamey (like landing at an enemy field in a bomber, taxiing into a hangar and having the gunners shoot it down from the inside, or parking a bomber behind the spawn point of an enemy field and shooting them as they spawned) but it was great fun and I'd often be in stitches with laughing so much.

Some of the macros I used over the years were:

Another Foe Felled by Flos!
Killed by a Krait!  Hissssssssss!
Killed by a Hell God(dess)!

:p  :)

I never made a kill macro for myself, bit I did enjoy a lot of them.

The ones I hated were the guys who just typed out "1/2/3/etc"--too self-important, and no imagination.  I made a special point of hunting these individuals.

I miss AW.  I'd still be playing it if I had that opportunity.  AH, as excellent as it is, just isn't the same.

LPN had "Its tuff to soar with eagles when you fly with turkeys", and TRIX had a "pre-kill" macro "Check six! It's TRIX!" Another I  liked was "He's up ! He's down! He's all around Mafia Kill!"

None of mine were "witty" enough to post here  :D

I just never got around to making a macro. I was one of the 1/2/3/ guys. I usually only got to 2. Hmm wonder if it was you that would finish me off before 3?:D  There wasn't a lot of Macros when I played. One I do remember was "You've been Yak'ed" Or something similar? Thats been about 13 years ago for me though ,  I was Yak'ed quite a bit.:)

Same here Ack-Ack. Tell him to get a young one. If she's young and don't know any better maybe he can get back up flying. Athough if he gets a young one maybe he won't want to. :) Hey, for all I know he's still on a Mac and never went over to the dark side....

Nah, matter of fact he was asking about what people like in controllers recently, said he was thinking about flying again.

I think he's too chicken to get in here with us, tho :)
