Anyone use Outlook 2003 ??
« on: May 21, 2005, 01:00:30 PM »
I know, I know Outloook spawn of the devil etc etc but ........ I like it and it syncs with my O2 XDA fantasticly.

So - question is I have several people who work at the same company and I don't want to keep typing in the same address - is there any way of linking a series of contact details to a single company address ??  I can't find it anywhere.  You can list by company AFTER you've entered them - but I'm lazy.

Any Ideas??

I’m not quite sure what you want.
You can make a personal distribution list, add contacts to that list, and then just enter that list name when sending emails. If you constantly send emails to same people, that can save a lot of time.

I'm never very good at explaining things ....

I'm talking about entering contacts for the first time.  Lets say you have entered Mr X who works for Joe Bloggs Ltd. Now you want to enter Miss Y who also works at Joe Bloggs Ltd - at the moment I retype all the address details. Is there a quick way to just specify the company Joe Bloggs and the address is found from the previous entry ??   If you have 5 or ten contacts at the same company it gets annoying.

If you are going to send one email to all of those 10 people, then distribution list is your solution.

New mail > TO > Persoanl Address Book > New > Personal Distribution List

Also if you have Outlook Address Book, you can find multiple contacts by office symbols or such. In other words you can search by company name, and then select names that were found.

No - before I ever get as far as sending any mail.

Let me give an example.  I contract for a customer and speak to 30+  people in that company.  I have a paper telephone list which I am now typing in to Outlook but in the Street Address field I have to type the whole fricking address every time I enter a new contact ??  Isn't there a way of selecting a company name from a list and it enters all the details like street address without typing ??
