A few questions
« on: May 20, 2005, 12:22:36 PM »
(1) Is there room for another Squad? (2)Am I right that if registered for 4-6 players than myself and a non-squad guest would meet the minnimum? Hoping to do better than that but I have not brought this to the squad yet but the flexable particepation is a plus. (3) When you say CO does it have to be the CO of the MA squad or his proxie as CO of an SEA detachment? Or for that matter are you refering to SEA squads to begin with? PS: Would realy like to see a resume/replacement for Sunday SO as my squad has alot of eastcoast family guys. Good luck with that daddog.TY

I think I can answer a few of these questions.

1.  There is always room, but you must sign up at the beginning of a 3 frame series like right now.  You seem to have figured this out already.

2.  Yes, 2 would be the minumum required for a 4-6 commitment, or Daddog and Ghost Dancer would come visit you in dark suits and sunglasses.

3.  CO can be anyone in the squad.  The Special Events Arena squads are mostly mirror squads of MA squads, but they are in reality completely separate from the MA.  Our squad (USMC) has changed and split in the MA, but we still operate under USMC banner in the Special Events Arena (SEA), and I am just a peon pilot in the MA squad, but CO for SEA.

Hope that helps.  If you want to take time to get organized, hook up with one of the existing squads and fly as a guest to see how they do things.  I am sure any squad would be happy to have some guests.

You have in fact answered all my questions. If I do not get a fast and positive responce from my squadies I will be shoping for a guest spot to give them a first hand account.

Let me know ahead of time if you want to fly with us, you would be welcome.  I need to be ready to send invites and spend some time getting you oriented.

This is for Friday Night Squad Ops:

On the other hand, if you want to go ahead and register your squad for the event at a 4-6 commitment, I'm sure one of us other squads can detach one pilot to fill your minimum quota.  If you don't in fact register you're going to be a guest for the next three frames.

If one or two of your squaddies decide to come play with us and you squad is NOT registered,  you'll ALL be shopping for extra spaces.  We don't want to sour their experience by having to ask for available spots, and you may not all be able to fly together.

I say,  "Just register your squad at 4 to 6!"  We'll cover you!

Registered THE UNFORGIVEN for FSO and got some nibbles from the squad. Went ahead and made an SEA squad. Have yet to draft an XO. Need one 'couse I'm often un-available Mon till Thru afternoon. Is there other forms to fill out or do I just wait for e-mail? And I will make sure that anyone I bring comes early enough to DL map and get into uniform.

Ghostdancer,

Put The Unforgiven on the same side as The Damned?

I promised to cover Hacksaw if his squadmates didn't show, and I'd hate for him to rely on some "opposing" squad to support him. :p

Ultimately it is his choice on sides.  Please let us know asap so we can adjust.

---------------------------------

Hacksaw,

Once you get a side assignment, call out, so one of the bigger squads can cover for you (if you need a pilot) no matter which side you are on!  We are there for you!
