The first sounds like Bill Murray in "Stripes"

The second movie is Bill Murray(Carl Spackler ) in "Caddyshack"

His wife's name is Margaret Kelly

The first quote is Joe Dorsey in 'The Great Santini'.

He was in WarGames with Matthew Broderick.
Broderick was in Addicted to Love with Meg Ryan.
Meg Ryan was in You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks.
Tom Hanks was in Apollo 13 with Kevin Bacon.

4 degrees.

The second quote is indeed Bill Murray in "Caddyshack".

Bill Murray was in Kingpin with Woody Harrelson.
Woody Harrelson was in Wag the Dog with Dustin Hoffman.
Hoffman was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon.

The "degrees to Kevin Bacon" is a gimme. The database is on the web.

I also believe Kratzer to be correct about the first quote not being Bill Murray. I've not seen "The Great Santini", but I don't recall Bill saying anything like that in his films.

Though.. I still die everytime I see the Caddyshack scene where Bill is hunting "Varmint poon-tang". Of course, my favorite quote is from Ghostbusters.. "Yes, this man has no dick."

Guess I need to clarify... one actor was in both movies. The quotes were used to identify the movies. These quotes were not made by the same actor.

Oh, in addition to that, if you ever see a book called "Video Hound's Golden Video Retriever" it has more information than you could ever use about every movie released on video. They put out a new version every year so that it is relatively up to date.
