How to text radio Salute
« on: June 03, 2005, 10:08:19 AM »
Last night had a couple of fights with a gent - Makita. He won the first, I came out on top in the second (though I was more than a bit lucky).

He flashed me the " CH3" which came across in white text. I felt like a jerk because I was not quite sure how to return the courtesy. What I did was go to the "all" radio channel and typed in the " Makita". Can someone tell me if this is the correct way to do this ?

CH3, what JB73 said. That dot command will send the Salute.

But, if you were getting a salute from him and it was in white text, what he did was type your handle in a text channel, and sent it direct to you.

either works ;)

Cheers,

No, the dot salute command sends the message in white text. I believe it uses the old world channel.
