Gonna be there in early June. I have almost a full day without work and am looking for something new to see there. Been there many times, and have done the whole Mall thing repeatedly.

Dulles is close by - maybe you are even flying into/out of it:
this is worth the stop, saw it last time I was up visiting sisters:

May I suggest renting a Cessena 152 and doing a low altitude fly-over of our lovely capital?

You should stand by the Capitol the entire day with sunglasses in a statuesque pose with a briefcase. When questioned, speak with a foreign accent that you want to speak to President Bush.

Hilarity is bound to ensue.

Hey Bob, what day are you looking at? I live about 2 miles form the Udar Hazy, and still haven't been there. I might be able to clear my calander for a day (though I can't miss class, so I'd have to wrap it up early).

Early June?

Drive up to Reading PA for WWII Weekend, Not too far from DC. June 3/4/5.

If hanging locally go to NASM, then take the bus,(get tickets inside NASM) to Dulles, I believe they still run daily busses out there.

Nothing compares to seeing Ar234 or Fw190F8, NiK2, The list at Dulles goes on and on my friend. I spent at least 5hrs there on opening day. I you got a set date, I might be willing to drive down and visit Dulles. Probably got some new stuff down there by now.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I think I can do that. If you want to see the NASM annex at Dulles, let me know. You can metro to Vienna, and I'll pick you up.

If I have time I might put the triumph back together and take her out.

Deal... I might even have some metro cards left over.
