The formula to make a race car go faster is easy. More horsepower. Less drag, less wight.

Not weighing the driver is a very glaring loophole.

Read my response above.

Downhill skiers don’t get weighed.  Tall gymnasts don’t stand a chance in serious competition.  Short basketball players are at a serious disadvantage in their sport.  This isn’t kindergarten and it’s not the Special Olympics.  In some sports physical attributes give some people advantages; so little Korean and Chinese drivers start to dominate.  Good for them.

Chinese and Korean drivers could never win in auto racing.  Have you seen the way they drive on the freeways?  And thats not even near racing speed.

I thought I heard the announcers say that Danica was fixing her makeup right before that restart crash.  Its amazing that she knocked a couple of cars out but managed to stay in with only having to change the front wing on the car.

Driver skill and luck usually prevails over how much the driver weighs. We'd be seeing race horse jockeys driving by now if weight were that important.
Typical prejudice that he feels challenges his manhood that he has to whine like a little girl. Boo hoo.

Here's a good rule of thumb for those of you not well aquainted with NASCAR. Ignore any statements made by people with the last names of Gordon, Harvick or Spencer.

I was surprised to hear that IRL doesn't weigh cars with the drivers in them. lol! Even the local dirt track has done that for years. Prolly since the beginning. Gordon may be a whiner, but he does have a pont here.

Former Champ Car champion DeMatta weighed 120 pounds soaking wet. No one complained about his weight. He spent a season in F1 and did poorly. Obviously, a few pounds can't make a winner out of a second rate chassis.

It boils down to Gordon being intimidated by a woman who is just as fast as he is....

Besides, I dislike the whole concept of mandating equal cars. Remember the Jim Hall's Chaparrals, the Lotus 72 and the Gurney Eagles? Under the concept of equal cars, none of those would have been developed.

Why not? They would also work cheaper and make more profit for the teams. It's the current American way.

P.S. The chick is prettier than Gordon and will probably get some of the advertising money currently spent on him. :D
