Flown by LT Kobayashi Michio, Commander of Hiryu's Bombing Squadron on June 4, 1942. Kobayashi, flying BII-201, along with his gunner, WO Ono Yoshinori, led the first counter attack by Hiryu against Yorktown on the afternoon of June 4. This strike composed of 18 D3A1s, divided into two nine plane Chutai (the rough equivalent of US divisions) and six A6M2 Zeros.

someone know what squadron this would be?

the white points where the paint "was peeled" are very bright, maybe make them a tad darker?, it really catches the eye and look artificial.

I thought the chipped paint was too white as well, im use to working with lighter colored skins, but I fixed it and think it made it look much better.

No idea what Krusty is talking about.

If I cant find info on the squad and whatnot would it be acceptable to say the pilot's name?

It's been a long while, but I thought the flaps on the Val had their normals inverted? You're seeing the inside of the triangle, not the outside (which gives you that white fragment on the inboard/outboard part of the flap, depending on which way you look).

This and many other bugs made me drop the Val skin I was doing.

But I thought it showed the belly color on the top and the top color on the belly? Now I can't remember..

Ahhh.. That might have been it. I wanted to do a skin that had distinct top/bottom camo (green/cream 2-tone pattern), and that must have been it. the reason the top doesn't show up is that you're looking at the face, the "surface" from the wrong angle. Like a 2-way mirror, you won't see anything if you look through it from the wrong side. So until that model is redone (which will be approximately in &%!$&$^@!# million years lmao) you won't be able to see the top of the flaps. Somehow it's got 2 sides on the bottom part of the flap, and oyu can see the bottom color on the top and the bottom. It's also got only 1 color for both top and bottom of the tail planes.. It's pretty messed up, basically.
