instant blackouts

I understand the whole thing about blacking out, but what is the deal with these black outs that happen instantly.  You're flying level, and the moment the controls are touched you black out and stay that way for a really long time.  This doesn't happen very often, but when it does it is extremely annoying.  I can't imagine this is meant to happen.

Feature.

Since sometime in AH2, HTC introduced a sort of a 'pilot fatigue'. (Actually, it was in AH1 too, IIRC, but it was unsiginificant)

So, your pilot may tolerate frequent tunnel visions and maybe small slips into total blackout, but when you pull too hard into too much Gs, your pilot faints for a moment, and totally blacks out until regains consciousness.

Seems odd but at least it's a reason.  The thing is though, it isn't like I'm going from nice level flight to pulling as far back on the stick as I can all in one motion.  These are subtle manuevers I'm talking about.  I've been playing long enough to know how to ride the edge of blacking out, this is different.  It is an instant change between being fine and passed out, no tunnel vision.

If it's happening to you without you having blacked out prior to this then it may be some problem with your stick settings. If you have been blacking out regularly, even extended tunnel vision, eventually it will catch up to you and even small movements will cause blackout.

Your pilot is suffering from oxygen dprevation to the brain. Any drop in blood levels not causes almost immediate unconcousness. It rakes a few minutes to recover from this condition.

Sullie - If your going striaght from OK to blackout without any tunnel vision try some different video drivers.
I got the same prob way back during the beta and it was fixed with new video card drivers.

Another possiblity is very high speed. Pull hard enough and it can happen instantly. I have no problem with this. What I do have a problem with is that if you touch the stick as soon as you come out...you will be instantly blacked out again.

Video drivers are as up to date as can be and my joystick is all fine tuned.

I'll just go with it's a tired pilot, the poor little guy.  I'm not saying this is a huge problem, it is actually pretty rare.  It's just annoying when it does happen.

You are not talking of being wounded? Apart from that i have no such blackout problems. Only time i had trouble with blackout was when i pulled to hard and got a total blackout. Then came back to vision and pulled a little instant blackout right away.

What plane you using? When trying to lift a plane out of a verry fast dive i sometimes have blackouts... but you talking about a lvl flight and blackout when touching controlls? Or a verry fast dive then touching controlls?

Level flight and touching the controls.  No pilot wound involved.  If HT really did enter in some code to make the pilot sleepy then I guess that's what it is.
