Ehhm Swager, I know  :)

I just said that I didn't know why the REAL 109 had it's sight off center, and that I used the gunsight view key (shift+F1) to more than looking into the sight.

Perhaps because the cockpit is realy narrow and as (for most of the population) the aiming eye is the right eye it won't disturb a lot the aiming.
Don't forget that in real we can offset our head quickly !

The newer your games, the more they give you.

Here is what I got for my trade ins:

Sub Command: $12
Sudden Strike: $10
Oni: $5
Midnight Club (for Playstation 2): $10

Total of $37

IL-2 was $45 so I pricematched it from Best Buy down to $40. $2 mass tax brought total to $41.99 - $37 = $4.99

Two questions.  Do ANY of the planes have outside views online?  And does it have magic HO spits?

Whether planes have outside views is dependent on whoever is hosting, since it's the host who sets up the realism settings.  And if the host allows outside viewing, then everybody on that host has it.

And as for HOs, it's really amazing the kinds of results that can occur in a collision.  Tarans are possible even.  But, its real hard to hit a plane in an HO in il2.

And HO hits are usually very devastating. Even couple of MG rounds usually break something important, like the radiator.
I love the thing, that if you get the enemy hurt, he will have according performance degrade.

Hate the gunnery and the fact that the MG's let off so much fire you have no idea what your aiming at. Looks like a huge flame thrower.

I'm not going to argue with the realism crowd about it, it just kills the game for me. As bad as the old dirty windshield they changed. (I see people squeaked about that enough.)

That and the Stuka's rear gunner, whoopee, they make a AH buff look weak.  :)

This gunnery makes You reallize why getting 5 kills was really a big deal back then.
I`m lucky to get 2 in one sorty.
In fact I`m into the 4th mission on the german campaign and have one air victory, and 3 or 4 land kills.

I've got 32 kills with only 14 missions on the Russian campaign..

It's not hard, just get in real close so you can't miss.

Swulfe,

Try that same in the german side  :)
I've got plenty kills in russian campaign but in german... you got that 15mm peashot for plenty of missions.
Doesn't work as well as 20mm  ;)

I just got 109G2 few missions ago, ahh.. how relaxing that MG151/20 is!
With 109F2, I got once 3 IL-2s in one flight, that was big deal.. but with G2 I could get many of those with its 20mm.

It also seems like german planes are made out of silk and russo planes of steel, that much easier it is to shoot down german planes.
