My brothers laptop had some major issues, I've got most everything back up and running except the registry cleaned. Downloaded registry mechanic and it found 490 issues, but as you already know it is the trial version. Question is does anyone know of a good free registry cleaner before I go and buy one? Thanks

Regsupreme Pro is an awesome program, especially for a freebie.

For utmost performance, nothing I've seen beats Registry Mechanic from PC Tools (free limited eval, costs for full)

Of course you could use registry mechanic to find the faults and list them.
Nothing to stop you then using that list and editing them by hand.

Just be sure to save the registry first before you do any alterations, just as a safety net.

I use JV16 Powertools myself and I also have Registry Mechanic.  Both are excellent programs.

All the Best...
