TwrATM !!!

Your hospitality at "Corsairs over Connecticut" made the day for me, and I believe that the others that were with me feel the same.

Was a pleasure meeting you and Cav. Have fun with that new baby ... she was beautiful.

Thanks again ... we will meet again and have some more beers at the Windsock (COLDEST Coronas on the East Coast for sure) and maybe a BBQ on the catwalk ... LOL.

Hope that CPorky and Canaris hook up with you ... too bad they didn't come yesterday ... would have enjoyed meeting them !!!

I'll second Slapshots big thanks to TwrATM! Just had a very enjoyable day down there - front row seats for the takeoffs!

My first airshow, and I've got to say, a great one.

Was also nice meeting CPorky, Canaris, and Cav58d too.

Actually today was the first time I've ever met someone who played this game, and was nice to have all the inside jokes, etc.

Thanks again TwrATM!

Awwww shucks guy's...lol. :-)
I had an awesome time meeting all of you also, wish we had more stuff like this happening more often.
All of you have open invites to come down and hang out anytime, I have been to countless airshows and this ranks up in the top spot for me due to the chance I had to meet all of you.

Mars01 you are the man, bringing the Pitts down and giving us rides was extremely awesome!! Now I realize why you kick my butt in a fight, that dang LaLa ya fly in real life is great practice for the game...lol

hope to see you guy's again soon!

Sorry to miss all of you, I attended on Sunday... absolutely beautiful day.

Well I dont pretend to understand it, nor explain it but... I didnt shed a tear during the birth of my son nor more recently my daughter but...

My eyes welled up with tears as I watched those F4u's fly in formation accross the field.  Am I whacked?

It was amazing to see that's for sure. I wish they would have firewalled the suckers down the runway when they were making low passes but it was still an awsome sight to see!

We were standing right near where they were doing their run up prior to take off. About 75 feet behind them. Very sick.

The thing that got me was that at about 4:30 or 5, after the show was over, and almost everyone was gone. The b25 and 4 of the hogs took off and were flying in tight formation. But not over the field, over the LI. Sound, for a photo shoot for the press.

The high point I think was when the pair of A10s came ripping through unexpected and made some NICE low passes. I got alot of that on film. Also took a TON of pics.

I wish they hogs flew more, but it was well worth the day spent.

I kept saying to myself... I was born 80 years too late.

TwrATM, thank you very much! I enjoyed the day, most of all being at the end of the runway and being able to see and smell the Corsairs and B25 taking off.

I appreciate the time you spent showing us around, I would of thanked you earlier, but I came home to find my DSL modem completely fried and right now I'm at work trying to send this out.

Well, least I can say I haven't been disappointed meeting anyone from AH. :)

Roger that. I fully agree. Us guys down here in Ga get together once a week and have a blast. I have never met tower, but I have flown though his airspace many a time. We proly have spoke a few times..."Roger, Five Five Charlie Delta, contact on 119.0 have a good one"

Absolfnlutely!!  Slap.

I flew in Thursday afternoon to meet up with Cav, and Twr was working, so on approach to the field I call up "Bridgeport Tower, Pitts 98R can I get a low pass?"  Twr, "Expected and we de-acked the field."  My brain stopped for a second, registered what he said and I laughed, then I blazed down the runway.

Thanks Twr and Cav, it was a great time made even better by you guys.

Morph and I got some sweet video we'll get up soon.

guys!

LOL....I said it was de-acked and then I saw that M-16 on the north ramp. First time I've seen one of them in person and it even had "Aces High" written between the .50's.
Talk about the ultimate road rage machine...LOL
