Methinks that the Tweel will have some significant legislative roadblocks to overcome once law-enforcement realizes that it makes spike sticks useless...
BTW - I agree, them's ugly. They remind me of pram wheels more than anything.

You can already buy tires which won't collapse if pressure is lost and you can merrily keep driving.
Heh my friend is having a 4WD truck where compressor and airtanks are enough to keep tires full of air even with few ~8mm/ .30 holes in sides...
btw it has also armour plates you can pull up from cockpit to cover radiator...
