instrument damage?
« on: June 12, 2005, 03:02:30 AM »
I'd like to see the instrument panel take some damage.
I like the bullet holes in the canopy,  but they never hit anything important (except of course the pilot.) I think it'd be cool if the instrument panel took an occasional hit, knocking out a couple instruments, or even the whole panel.
There shouldnt be too much whining about it, because all you really have to do is open up the clipboard to see any info you need anyway, if you want to.
Other parts of the plane get damaged and disabled, why not the instruments?

Just a thought.

Or even a pitot-tube failure, knocking out ALL instruments :)

A much discussed subject, but I like it

"Or even a pitot-tube failure, knocking out ALL instruments"

Only three instruments run off the Pitot Static system- Airspeed Indicator, Altimeter and VSI...  Airspeed indicator being the only which used the pitot RAM air and static air for differential pressure to swing the needle...
