Has anyone used one of these in AH?

Nostromo controller

It seems like a good way to make your keystrokes easier when in flight.

I use one for FPS games, and like it a lot.

For flight sims, you may prefer the OLDER version that only has 10 buttons.

In that controller, the "scroll wheel" is actually mapped to an analog throttle, which AH can use. I don't think you can map a regular mouse wheel to a throttle in AH or anything else.

If you already have a throttle, then it won't matter.

The mouse wheel defaults to throttle when you don't have your joystick hooked up to the computer. At least that is how it has been for me. Its crazy flying a formation of B-24's with your mouse and keyboard BTW.

I had one fo the earlier ones but I didn't like it and it was a pain to get it to work with my CH gear in most games. Since the master pilots are gone and unprogramable in XP. I went with a X-keys Pro USB. I also have Ch pro throt pro pedals and fighterstick all usb. There are two ways to program X-keys one is to load the eprom the other is with a control aplet that runs all the time. Me I prefure to program the eprom. X-keys however are very expensive in comparison to the Belkin stuff. the pro I have is around $150

I've had GREAT success with the Thrustmaster "Tacticalboard", which I use as a programmable keyboard. It allows me to standardize all of the commonly-used buttons for all of my favorite flight sims. I use the old speedpad still..Goes great with my FFB2 stick...Very mapable and has shift function so u can set up for planes,gv's and buffs.
