Funny story.  Our daycare person is a computer newbie, and she just got a system w/ broadband last week.  Her 12 year old daughter was showing her how to use it.  So far all is well.

They start looking for good pictures to use as background images for the desktop, because I had shown them how to do that the day before.

"madagascar" they typed, and found some good pictures from the upcoming movie.

"spongebob squarepants" got them some great wallpaper of the Nickelodeon show.

"The fast and the furious" gets a cool Vin Diesel pic, as does "Riddick".  But it's not quite the picture of Vin Diesel they want.  They love action films.

They think about what other movies he's been in.   Hmmm....
"Oh yeah, that's right," effused the mom, "I remember another good one he was in recently."

So they google "XXX".

Hilarity ensued.

The next day, I installed a popup blocker after the awkwardness that happened when the 12 year old girl's reflexes went toe to toe with aggressive porn banners....  and lost.

let me tell you a ole school trick that the vets of ah tell new players (to be a arse) to screw them over in game...

well it has other uses..

alt f4 does wonders for pop up banners that use the famous open a new window when you click the close window button... (java script)

no pop up crapper...   select window you want to close ....

alt f4...

no more window...

no opening a new window crap....   its gone..

funny story on the triple X though..

roflmao saw it comming, but still it was classic ; )

it is funny how porn is the biggest business on the internet, and is still growing.

side challenge i found funny...

do a google search for any single word (not a multiple word search) and you will something like 99.9% of the time have a porn site come up in the search.

i forgot the link, but there was a site tracking the few words that didn't trigger a porn site in the first 5 pages.

go ahead and try it, see if you can find a word ; )

Well... I know I was looking for some new Pipes for my bike one time. "Exhaust Pipes" is another one of those things you don't want to search for. :D

Good one.
Tell you one that happened to my wife.

My wife for the most part untill that last year her only real experiance with computers was opening  Email like once every 6 months and typing in names at her work.

Well she decided about a year and a half ago to surf the net for stores to get an idea as to what to get me for my birthday.
So shes thinking of getting me a new fishing pole.
Not knowing or even trying to type in addresses she seached for well known store names.
Search on "Sears" No problem,
"Wall Mart".No problem.
Search on "The Sports authority". Peice of cake.

Her  next search word..

"Dicks"

I LMAO'd

Good thing my daugher wasnt around.
