Now back to our show...

Pretty Tasty Kentuky Rye

Jim Beam makes an awful rye too.

Goaly,

Give Canadian Hunter a try.

It is a Seagram's product that has not been aged as long as VO which has not been aged as long as Crown.

My theory is they all the same just difference in how long they keep them in the barrel.

Whisky is the antidote to life.

You must have personal rules though.

My rules follow (no desire to impose these on anyone)

No toddy's before 5:00 (4:00 on weekends and holidays)

Vodka mixed with fruity drinks is ok before 5:00.  But no fruity drinks after 5:00 .  Must switch to adult cocktails ie Martinis, Vodka and 7-up after 5:00.

Margiritas are allowed after 12:00(noon)  and only on the rocks only after 5:00 pm.

Rum is frowned upon unless it is during daylight and must be near a beach. (Females only)

Beer OK 24 hrs a day but I generally switch to a toddy a 5:00

Crown Royal is the daddy

V.O. is a less aged version but more affordable for daily consumption.

1/2 Gallon  a week is the norm.

Out of the two, I prefer V.O. to Crown. I like the taste better. Go figure.

can't drink brown liquors.

bad bad bad experience in youthful days of over indlugence.

something about a bucket of my own puke, answering the door in my underwear, and falling down a whole flight of stairs so i'm told... i only remember the awful smell and taste of waking up with a pillow filled with what can only be described as "used" southern comfort and taco bell, and a terribly pain in my hip from landing on a concrete floor at the bottom of the stairs.

to this day the smell / "bite" of brown liquors makes me dry heave
I don't know what to put here yet.

Just remember this one rule. YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOUR LIMIT!

I know my limit... I usually pass out before I reach it... But I KNOW my limit.
My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Let`s hear it.

Crown Royal for drinking when I'm having a good day.

I don't drink on the bad days.  never had a problem that got better if I'd get drunk and ignore it for a day or 3.

Jim Beam makes a great assortment of small batch bourbons

my personal fav is Basil Haydens,

mmmmm   Basil Haydens Manhattan,  mmmmmm

the others are Bookers........about 126 proof,  it has flavor  !!!!
Knob Creek, and Bakers

They also make an 18 year bourbon called Masterpiece.
It is finished in Cognac barrels.  Not really sure how they got around calling it a bourbon, since they have to be aged in NEW charred oak barrels to be called a bourbon
