Hi Guys -

I was curious if there was a way to resize pictures directly on a webpage. I've got pictures taken in 2048x1536 and want to reduce them to 640x480, but don't want to edit all of them to resize.

Is there a command in HTML language that will do that for me?

in the image tag use:

or whatever size in pixels you want it to be.

or

or whatever percent of the original size you want to use.

Keep in mind that the image still has to load as it's original size so it will take longer than just resizing a thumbnail for it.

Using that method would be pretty harsh, your page would take a long time to load.

Resize them would be my advice as well. there are plenty of softwares that will do a batch of picture resizing for you, so you don't have to do them one by one.

Definitely, resize them. They'll take less time to load and won't look hideous (like they will if you resize that much using the IMG tag). I don't know what you have for image editing software, but you may even be able to automate it somewhat.

Triscape FXfoto is free and a pretty good program, it allows you to resize easily.
