anyone know where i can reload the ac'97 sound card drivers....mainly the multichannel part

The best place to start is with your MB manufacturer (that's where I got my 64bit stuff)

AC'97 is one of THE MOST HORRIBLE sound solutions available; it eats CPU time, ect.
Onboard sound bites as a whole. Cards are much, much better.

onboard sound VS my Audigy2 is 4-5 fps, not all that bad considering . As far as drivers go you can get them from the realtek site or the MB manufacturer.
