alrighty, now i know there is already another post, but this is not an advise one. i recently got a 52 (like 30 mins ago and im real excited :)), but it is just baffling. ive tried setting a few functions, but the thing is just mindblowing!!!! with 32 buttons to choose from, and all the other crap, like hat switches which ive never used before :(. could someone walk me through it, and possibly tell me their setup to get me rolling? ty very much in advance :)

C:\Program Files\Saitek\Software

save it there so you can open it with Saitek's profile editor to edit/view
then select it as active profile b4 you startup AH

the saitek profile program should auto start when you fire up windows.
it should be a small black icon in the lower right corner showing it is running.  by clicking on it, the profiles available should be listed. Select the X45 AH one and the icon turns a green/black thingy. that means it is activated. startup ah and you should be good to go

i tried all of that, and figured it out, but the dang thing isnt working inside ah!

its driving me nuts :lol

ive figured out how to do it, but the profile doesnt run inside ah for some reason.  it may be that it wont chose between the ah setup and the profile, but i dont know how to fix that. any thoughts from anyone who had the same problem as me, or skuzzy?

it says in the help thingy that i can test the functions inside wordpad, but this isnt working. this must be the problem. anyone know how to get it to run over windows?

what ver of windows? xp?

I'd try uninstalling the saitek software and re-install it . following the directions

yes you should be able to open wordpad and see the commands when the profile is active in windows without evening going into the game

Hey Pooface!

Hope you get lucky with the stick :)
Please, if you would be so kind, post a short review on precision, or whatever comes to your mind, in the X52 thread I started.
Highly appreciated!

Regards!
