Stupid question
« on: July 05, 2005, 07:27:34 AM »
Saturday I upped only to find out that I had somehow changed from a Rook to a Bish (or maybe it was a Knight... Don't remember). I tried switching back by clicking on the Rook buttons in the Arena setup, saving etc, then exiting and re-entering the game. Didn't work. What dumb fannied thing have  I done and how do I fix it? I know I'm having some Vox problems due to the Trackir system I'm trying to learn how to use.....any connection?

Thanks,

Woof

Could you have typed .country 1 or 2 instead of something else?  That would have the effect of changing your country to Bishops or Knights.  As Seeker said, if you had inadvertently changed country, you wouldn't be able to change back until 12 hours had elapsed.  :)

I was able to change back with the .country 3 code.. but I never figured out why it switched to begin with. I guess the Buttons in the setup only work offline.

Country 3 is for rooks. 2 For Knights and 1 for bish.

You were able to switch back because the switch time had expired :)

If you try and switch but there is still time left you will see a little message in your message bar saying something like "you can't switch countries for another XXX minutes."

Yeah.... what I can't figure out is why it changed to begin with.

Actually, thinking about it, I do remember this happening to me at least once in the past.... no explanation, just logged on and slowly realised something was wrong when I noticed I was surrounded by 'enemies'    I quickly changed back and took a shower!  :D  :p
