film making Q
« on: June 07, 2005, 03:05:49 PM »
Ok,  I just made a movie (short as it is) to test ability to do so.  However  after i'm done editing and saving the movie using Windows Movie Maker it can only be played by that program.

There is only one file extension option to save it by in that program.

I can convert an AH film file to an .avi and watch it in Windows Media Player.  However after importing it in to the Movie Maker and editing all I want , I save it and only the movie maker will play it.

Is there a way to save a film in Windows Movie Maker so it will be playable with Windows Media Player?

thanks!

Go into Windows Movie Maker

Have your movie up and ready on the time-line

Press Ctrl+P

Follow the directions from there and play around with it.

Thanks Paul!  That is exactly what I was doing wrong,  just needed to select a different option for playback and it works fine now in Media Player.:aok
